Finally, a plan for the EC 12
The most common question asked is where can I get a set of plans for an EC12. Mark Rinehart recorded his configuration in 1995. Some updates, then Rick West adopted the plan to compliment his website. Paul Proefrock then turned that into an AutoCad drawing and provided a PDF file that anyone near a 36" plotter (Or a Kinko's Copies store) can have a scale drawing immediately.

This plan is detailed on Rick West's website, www.ec12.info

The drawing
This is a GIF image of the underlying drawing.  Want a closer look? All it takes is Adobe Reader to view the PDF file.
To Open the file for Viewing
Double-click on the picture will open the file in Adobe Reader. Please note the file is approximately 1.2Meg and it will take some time to download.
To Save the file for printing off-line

Use your RIGHT mouse button to click on the picture. You will get a dialog box that includes "Save Target as". Select this and save to your hard drive. Again, it's a big file and it takes some time to download.

It does go faster if you download to your hard drive then transfer to a floppy if you plan to take it somewhere to be printed.

Don't be surprised by the download time. You are opening a file that is 1.2Mbyte. This takes about 45 seconds on my DSL line. It will take a long time using a dial-up connection. You will first see a new browser page that opens with a blank white screen while the file downloads. I have changed the link to open in a new window so you can browse to another section of the site while it does it's thing.

Printing

If you just want a study copy, this pdf file will print out on your printer. But be forewarned, you need a strong set of bi-focals to make anything out.

For a full size version, save this file to a floppy and take to a local large size plotter. These are available at any engineering services firm, blueprinter or Kinko's Copies.

I've found the Kinko's is an excellent source and the price is right. Cost is generally less than $10
